forum mission

TThe New Policy Forum aims to bring together current political leaders, veterans of international politics, intellectuals and civil society representatives in a common effort to develop new ideas and new policies for the XXI century.

Our main priority is to consider issues relating to global governance at a time when the financial and economic crisis is highlighting the inadequacy both of the present model of economic and social development and of the institutional framework of world affairs. We shall focus on the principles of building a democratic world order capable of responding to the interrelated challenges of providing security, fighting poverty and preventing environmental catastrophe in a global world.

While looking at the big picture of international politics, the Forum will also consider specific issues of current importance, seeking to propose alternative approaches and policy recommendations to respond to the evolving situation in areas of crisis and conflict.

The New Policy Forum will seek the cooperation of leaders and intellectuals representing different political and ideological perspectives in an effort to bridge existing differences and propose constructive approaches acceptable to a broad cross-section of opinion in different parts of the world.
